Danielle Valentine

Area Manager

I began my journey with Daisychain as a student in 2008 and worked as an educator in various rooms before becoming Centre Manager in Rathfarnham, where I spent 11 wonderful years.

My passion for staff development and training led me to take on the role of Training Manager in 2020, overseeing training across all our centres.

I’ve now stepped into the Area Manager position, where I continue to focus on training, maintaining high standards, and ensuring quality across our services.

I love helping our teams learn, grow, and deliver the best possible care for children and families.

Muiriosa Leane

Area Manager

I have worked in the childcare industry since graduating as a Montessori teacher in 2002. I joined Daisy Chain in Spring 2012 as the Centre Manager of the Terenure centre, following several years of experience working in various childcare settings across the UK.

Over the years, with the support and mentorship of her colleagues, I have grown within the organisation and now serve as an Area Manager on the senior management team. In this role, I support centre managers and teams to ensure that every child receives the highest standard of care and education.

My favourite part of the role is spending time with the children — watching their imagination flourish through play and having the privilege of being part of their early learning journey.

Rebecca Ward

Training Manager

My name is Rebecca Ward. I am 27 years old. I hold a first-class honours degree in Early Childhood Care and Education. I have over 10 years of experience in a variety of educational settings across both Ireland and Australia.

I am the training manager at Daisy Chain since June 2025; however, I have previously worked at Daisy Chain before my travels. This role allows me to combine my passion for early childhood education with my commitment to developing both new and existing educators.

I will be delivering training programmes aimed at empowering early childhood professionals-because when we invest in our team, we create something truly special for the children in our care.

Milltown Centre:

We have a great team here in Milltown with some of our staff being with us, 10, 15 and 19 years! Bernie, Jo and Marcella alone have more than 50 years of experience in Childcare together. We have seventeen staff members in total, and they all have a minimum qualification of QQI level 5 with thirteen of our staff having Level 8 (degree) in early years education. They all are very creative, love to travel and enjoy singing and dancing with kids.

Rathfarnham Centre:

We have twelve staff in this centre and they all have a minimum qualification of QQI level 5. We have a great, diverse team here in the Eden- staff have had experience working in childcare all over the world- USA, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Brazil and UK. One of the staff members had been with Daisy Chain for over 17 years and now works alongside one of her past students in our Eden centre who has completed a degree in early childcare and has joined our team as an educator.

Terenure Centre:

We have 16 staff working in this centre who are all fully qualified and provide great love, care, and education for the children in their care. We have a number of staff who have been in our centre between 15 to 11 years. Terenure team are a bit of a ‘foodies’ and enjoy trying new dishes from different countries, which is convenient because there are five different nationalities working in this centre- Irish, Portuguese, Polish, Spanish, and Brazilian and they like to share their favourite traditional dishes to each other.

Stepaside Centre:

We have 9 staff in this centre and they all have a minimum qualification of QQI level 5 and up to Level 8. They are a very adventurous and competitive team. They enjoy having a friendly competition amongst themselves wherever it is in, be it Karaoke sing-off or Go-quest challenge solving mysteries and puzzles.
